Some of these can be eliminated by deciding to filter your drinking water and, therefore, making sure that the water you consume is as pure as possible. Water purification is essential since it minimizes the effects of drinking contaminated water in the short and long run.

Effects of Clean Water on the Skin and Hair

The quality of the water we consume internally plays a direct role in our body’s health, but the water we use externally, for instance, when we bathe, can greatly influence the appearance of our skin and hair. One might not pay much attention to the water used for washing the body, but water is as much a part of the body’s exterior as it is of the interior.

These chemicals are known to remove the skin and hair’s natural oils, leaving the skin and hair dry, irritated, and less shiny.

Taking a shower in chlorinated water can also worsen skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis, which is not comfortable at all. Apart from causing skin inflammation, these chemicals are also destructive to hair, making it weak and easily broken.
